Over the past 22 years, Kerrie has been very active with the American Society of Interior Designers {ASID} where she served in various local and national leadership positions including California Central/ Nevada President and National Chair of the Design for Aging Council. She is recognized as one of ASID’s prestigious Thought Leaders and has been named the 2012 recipient of ASID’s Nancy Vincent McClelland Award for Interior Design Education presented in June 2012 at NeoCon in Chicago. She was also the 2012 winner for Residential New Construction, Kitchen and Bath for the California Central/ Nevada Chapter.

Kerrie was selected a winner of the exterior color palette in the California Paints 2011 Designer Color Challenge. Kerrie’s winning color combination was featured in an online gallery, on color cards and in stores across the United States.

A longtime partnership with Delta, Kerrie has been featured via television and social media outlets to launch products such as faucets and DIY shower door installations.

Kerrie continues to be a contributor for, providing design tips and behind-the-scenes interviews with icons such as Eames Demetrios and Michael Graves.

Kerrie Kelly Design Lab continually partners with Ferguson for all plumbing and appliance needs. Our award-winning Brizo by Jason Wu bathroom design is featured in the Sacramento showroom.

Kerrie and Good Day Sacramento have built a great on-air and in-person relationship over the past few years that continues to be regarded as a go-to source for design inspiration for the Sacramento community. Since 2012, Kerrie appears in a series of scheduled spots on CBS/KMAX’s Good Day Sacramento as well.

Homewerks and Kerrie Kelly Design Lab have partnered to launch new design brands and products to the industry in the San Francisco area while continuing to promote via social media nationally.

Kerrie has been a contributor to the Houzz platform since the website began. She was awarded Best of Houzz: Remodeling 2012, Best of Houzz: Customer Satisfaction 2013 and 2014, and Best of Houzz: Design 2013 and 2014. She continues to be recognized by the website for her livable design ideabooks and projects for the site and has over 20 five-star reviews from previous clients. Houzz’s website has grown to 14-million users each month with over 6-million downloads on Android and iPhone apps.

As a brand ambassador and subject matter expert, Kerrie has developed tools for the electrical company to assist with specifying product for the interior design market. Additional works include creating strategies, writing articles and speaking on behalf of Leviton.

Kerrie Kelly Design Lab was honored to be invited to attend and participate in the New York Design Center’s “What’s New What’s Next” event as well as participated in their Pinterest event to create a board of some of our favorite pieces from their new Fall 2013 products.

Throughout 2008 and 2009, Kerrie was a monthly contributor to the Home Section of The Sacramento Bee. These articles provided the basis of her book Home Decor: A Sunset Design Guide. Today, Kerrie collaborates with Debbie Arrington for the latest and greatest details in interior design.

As part of the East Sacramento community, Kerrie Kelly Design Lab was honored to be invited to design one of the homes in the Fabulous 40’s for Sacred Heart’s Annual Holiday Home Tour in 2012-2015.

As a monthly contributor to Style Magazine, Kerrie offers design advice, tips and tricks throughout the Roseville, Granite Bay, Rocklin, Folsom, El Dorado Hills and the El Dorado County Foothill areas.

Our favorite outdoor fabric company also sponsored the Dwell on Design Pinterest Pavilion where we used their fabrics as inspiration for our winning board.

A contributor to Wayfair’s Inspiration gallery, Kerrie Kelly Design Lab continues to influence the choices of homeowners as they purchase items for their own home with over fifteen galleries.

As an influential contributor to Zillow Digs, Kerrie was named to the Zillow Digs Board of Designers in 2013-2014 to help identify trends locally and nationally. She also represents Zillow via her monthly column for various media outlets such as Yahoo, Forbes, and The Wall Street Journal.

In 2012, Kerrie and her team created the winning design for the Jason Wu for Brizo Blogger 19 Design Challenge. The design can now be seen on showroom floors, in magazines and the Brizo Lookbook. Kerrie also consults with Brizo annually, reviewing products and trends.

A longtime partner and brand ambassador for Cosentino, Kerrie was taken on a tour of the Siletone and Dekton factories in Spain in 2012 to assist with new product development and expansion. She was named a Cosentino Trend Spotter for 2013 and 2014 and continues to present Interior Trends in showrooms across the country and unveiled her latest project, Albedo by Cosentino, at KBIS in January 2015.

A Certified Aging in Place Specialist, Kerrie continues to work with Eskaton and Livable Design to ensure that designs are functional and comfortable for anyone, regardless of age or ability. She is also a member of Livable Design by Eskaton’s Advisory Panel and has assisted with local projects in Northern California. Kerrie works closely with the Livable Design tweet to create expert content for blogs and social media outlets to promote the livable design concept.

Kerrie Kelly Design Lab’s participation in the GE Monogram Designer Session in Louisville, KY provided an in-depth experience into the world of high-end appliances. GE’s thoughtful design process and made-in-the-USA product makes it easy to specify.

Selected as one of five Subject Matter Experts (SME) nationwide, Kerrie creates content for Home Depot products that can be leveraged via social media and other outlets to expose customers to their products and resources.

Kerrie and team have appeared on several TV shows in Northern California and as the featured designer for the DIY and HGTV Network’s “House Crasher’s,” “Bath Crashers” and “Room Crashers” shows. With a total of seven episodes under their belt, the team is well versed in a fast paced, well planned, television-ready design.

Local Sacramento television channel KVIE and Kerrie teamed up to host their annual KVIE Art Auction fundraiser in 2013 and 2014 where Kerrie served as an Art Expert for the event.

As a member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association, Kerrie was a trendspotter at their KBIS show in 2014.

In 2012 Pearson Education released MyInteriorDesignKit and its companion text, authored by Kerrie Kelly, as an experiment in interactive learning. Rather than giving static facts and endless pages of text, users are introduced to the core topics of interior design through the real experiences of successful industry professionals. Learners are engaged and challenged by taking them on virtual field trips to many locations where the business of design happens. Videos are used to simulate decision making activities and encourage learners to think like designers. Kerrie’s work features interviews with Michael Graves, Joe Ruggiero, the Eames family and more.

Sacramento Magazine has featured Kerrie’s work over the years highlighting local projects and items that are specific to the Design Lab.

Our go-to paint adorns our own Design Lab in Essential Gray, Folkstone and Gutsy Grape, which we also used as inspiration for our winning Dwell on Design Pinterest Pavilion board. As one of four designers nationwide, Kerrie Kelly Design Lab will be partnered with Sherwin-Williams to unveil ColorMix 2014 palettes for their Diaphanous board, a soft and neutral mix of sophistication and style. She looks forward to judging the student competition in late 2014 with Jackie Jordan.
