While we were celebrating the Grand Opening of Kerrie Kelly Design Lab in its new location last month, that is truly only a sliver of what we are truly excited about—we have now deemed our new neighborhood “the design district” (#designdistrict). Whether you are shopping antique row on 57th, visiting our friends at Haus or Article Consignment, Mr. Glassman across the street or even Jay Jay Gallery down the block—we are surrounded by design talent in our area.
Our move, our renovation, our growth could never have happened without right hand girls—Jill Williams, Lori Vaught, Katie Tomlinson! And their sidekicks who physically transformed our space and continue to support us in our design effort and growth—Rob Brazier and Mike Paris! Additionally, we have thoroughly enjoyed our two summer interns, Kate Ponta and Sami Fossali—you are fantastic!
If you missed our summer soiree, we not only have photos for you, but notes on our attendees and who we are beyond thankful for—it will be just like you were here with us!
–Cosentino: as you can see via our newsletters, travels and passion for product, we have a wonderful relationship that continues to grow and I cannot thank Brent, Chad, Tori and the entire sales and marketing family at Cosentino enough—that means Lorenzo and Patty in Texas, too!
–Ferguson + Viking: Ken, Laura, Doug, Sasha , Josh and Ryn, you continue to feed, train and educate our team and clients and we can’t thank you enough for the efforts you have put toward our team’s success.
–Sherwin Williams: Richard and Stephanie, thank you! If you all were wondering what colors we used on the Design Lab, I can tell you that it is Sherwin Williams Pure White, Essential Gray, Folkstone and Gutsy Grape. I know that because we continually specify and collaborate with the team at Sherwin Williams and they were generous enough to donate all the floor, wall and ceiling paint for our new digs.
– Sherman Loehr Custom Tile: Jim and Heather, we have worked with you since the late 90’s and there hasn’t been a more exciting time than now. While we are constantly innovating with vendors for new products, we are excited to be launching our new private line of tile. So if you have ever gotten fed up with cleaning your shower, mold or mildew we now have a solution for that paired with great tile styles.
– Style Magazine: you have captured all of our guests on our purple carpet with Dante, but most of all Terry and Wendy, with coordination by Megan, have featured our monthly column in their publication reaching 60,000 readers—I am honored to be a part of that on a monthly basis. Look for pics in this month’s issue!
–Zinlife’s Melissa, thank you for quenching our thirst and being our go-to for all that is wine—cheers! You always allow us to enjoy our own party!
–Clubhouse 56: you have been our after work—Allie McBeal style bar for KKDL and we appreciate you too! Thank you not only for the party tacos, but the raffle gift certificate, too.
–Lyn Vaught: thank you for continually satisfying our sweet tooth—her “balls” or shall we say truffles, took center stage and were enjoyed by all of our guests. Not to mention she is Lori Vaught’s mom and makes a mean cake, too!
Last but certainly not least, Melissa Camilleri, Alicia Kerr and Article’s Abe and Val really knocked it out of the park grand opening style! They are the definition of what our “design district” is!
–Melissa has partnered with us to create a candle that not only compliments each of its recipients, but raises funds for students and we honor her for joining us in this unique collaboration.
–Alicia, since meeting her at the Sacred Heart Home Tour, has made our vision of color come to life via the merging of our style and her creativity a reality. We adore the newly launched “I Heart East Sac” pillow collection and our new preppster bags, too!
–Abe and Val, the energy you left for us in your old space/our new is no joke—we appreciate how you have welcomed us to our new neighborhood and most of all for your focused effort in making the grand opening fashion show happen to feature our clients, friends and vendors!
