The Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA) and Architectural Digest Home Design Show is just around the corner and we are so excited to join in the showstopping fun with our friends at Cosentino .
DIFFA’s DINING BY DESIGN brings together internationally celebrated designers and local talent to create dining installations that awe, inspire and delight. These extraordinary dining environments—from the lavish and opulent to the outrageous and whimsical (photos below from 2014)—set the stage for five days of fun and fundraising. We can’t wait to see the collaboration that will take place with Cosentino and our dear designer friend, Tyler Wisler, as he is building out the 11’x22’ vignette we will be sitting at for the Gala event!
Thanks to an increasing interest in both DIFFA’s DINING BY DESIGN and the Architectural Digest Home Design Show, held at Pier 92, with 30,000 square feet for design, creativity, and innovation, the event has expanded, attracting over 40,000 attendees each year.
Our trip kicks off with COCKTAILS BY DESIGN Preview Party on Thursday, March 19. Designers and guests will mingle surrounded by dazzling dining installations, while sampling treats from NYC’s top restaurants and gourmet food purveyors and will enjoy wine and specialty cocktails.
PUBLIC VIEWING of the AD show occurs Thursday, March 19-Saturday, March 21 where we will explore the latest in design trends as we view the amazing dining installations and shop the silent auction.
During the day of March 23rd, we will visit our friends at TileBar in Brooklyn to check in on our KKDL tile design process. The line coordinates with our Silestone Albedo countertop in shades of navy blue and will be launched in May at New York’s International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) show at the Javits Center. That jaunt will be followed by DIFFA’s GALA DINNER where cocktails and table hopping are followed by an elegant seated VIP dinner accompanied by dancing and a fantastic silent auction.
Let us know if you will be attending the show, as Cosentino and KKDL would love to see you! Otherwise, we look forward to reporting back when we return to California.
