Now that we are officially finished with market season (for now), we’ve been able to sit down and reflect on our time at Las Vegas Winter Market 2016. We were truly inspired by the innovation and creativity we saw this year and we just couldn’t wait to share our findings with all of you! From curated art installations to tongue-in-cheek furnishings, we’ve narrowed down our top five must-know’s for 2016. Read on for five of our favorite products and pieces that we will be paying special attention to this year.
Kelly O’Neal’s Creative Curation
We’ve been in love with Mr. O’Neal’s eccentric and upbeat artistry since we were able to install one of his custom pieces in our Master suite project for the Traditional Home Napa Showhouse in 2015. His latest installation, which he debuted at Las Vegas Market, takes up the entire wall and is covered in vivid colors and intricate swirls of calculated yet free-flowing design. Inspired by his art, O’Neal has also curated a selection of pillows featuring similar designs and colors. While we are partial to our KKDL purple, we might be falling in love with a new color palette this year.
Feizy’s Hand-Knotted Feature
So we might be biased being an Haute Trends designer and all, but we are truly, madly, and deeply in love with Feizy’s latest rug creation. Hand-tufted and beautifully designed, this piece boasts splashes of orange, green, pink, and navy against a cerulean blue background. We’re picturing this one-of-a-kind beauty tucked underneath a fabulous dining room setting or as the anchor to a truly transitional living room.
Alder and Tweed’s Delectable Dining Set
Recently hitting our radar, Alder and Tweed is a perfect blend of classic and contemporary. The Mendocino dining table pairs wonderfully with their Mercer chairs. Can’t you picture a stylish soiree or dinner party at this gorgeous set-up?
Kate Spade + Jaipur’s Cheeky Pillow Collection
We are total suckers for witty design. Kate Spade has always inspired our inner-sass, so it only made sense that Jaipur, a heavyweight in the world of rugs, would feature their eccentricity and punchy one-liners on an all-new collection. Perfect for an extra pillow on the bed or a gift for the future married couple, it was hard not to scoop up a few of these lovelies to bring back to California.
Noir Furniture’s Modern Baubles
Last but certainly not least: Noir Furniture. We’ve always admired their designs and the perfect marriage between edgy and eccentric that always seems to find its way into it’s signature home decor. We’d be lying if we said we didn’t wish we could place all of these stylish mannequins in our Design Lab.
