As with most projects, we take lots of pictures of the complete design, after everything is said and done. This time, however, we thought it’d be fun to see the designers in action, fluffing pillows, creating vignettes, and bringing the design on paper into real life.
Our clients were looking to bring a soothing color into their space– something serene they would look forward to coming home to after a long day. Our designers immediately started sifting through a blue color palette, selecting rich indigos, pale sky blue, and all shades in between, to create a dynamic yet downplayed color palette that the couple can appreciate for years to come.
In addition to a cool blue color palette, we threw in patterns and textures to add layers of dimension.
Each room married fashion and function. The living space offered comfortable seating for friends and family to gather for the holidays or just enjoy a Friday night. The master suite was tranquil yet energizing with billowy window coverings, soft-to-the-touch linens, and accent pillows in the family’s favorite patterns and prints.
In the common areas, like the living room, the designers focused on timeless elements, like a cool blue paisley for statement making chairs, and a salvaged wood coffee table for a contemporary yet classic finish. Complete with a totally tonal area rug, elements that feel like home like greenery, books, and candles, and a few accent pillows to soften the space, the completed room exuded feelings of stillness and a sense of calm the couple could definitely get used to.
