T’was the year before last and the Kerrie Kelly Design Lab team was wrapping up the final details on this classic East Sacramento home, complete with furnishings throughout the main floor. With the holiday season now in full swing, the team couldn’t be more thrilled to revisit this ‘Bit of Black’ bungalow and add the festive touches to bring the North Pole to the bustling family of four.
Built in 1927, and remodeled in 2012 by local architect, Ted Smith, their home saw a full overhaul of the downstairs layout with an entire second story added on. Originally a two-bedroom, one-bathroom, this charming 40th Street Craftsman now boasts 4 bedrooms, 2 ½ bathrooms and a large kitchen perfect for family gatherings and entertaining.
Greeted with a large, winter sleigh overflowing with presents in the front yard, the team at KKDL invites you behind the scenes into Santa’s Workshop. Adorned throughout in classic holiday hues, evergreen wreaths, and fresh-smelling pine, the elves are hard at work preparing for Santa’s big night. With all-hands-on-deck, there are plenty of handmade gifts for adults and children alike — from jumbo wooden dominoes to hot cocoa flights—everyone can experience the wonder of the holiday season.
Vendors you can expect to find during the Sacred Heart Home Tour are 42nd Street Design, Blooms by Martha Andrews, Thistle + Bud, Top Hand Ranch, Sweet Celebrations in Roseville, Lemos Landscaping, The Ruralist, Green Acres, Sutterville Bicycle Company, and Scot Meacham Wood.
