Every year, our Sacramento neighborhood, the Fab 40’s, celebrates the 4th of July on a grand-scale that no doubt contributes to the earned title of 19th best city in the U.S.. However, this 88-year old tradition feels a little less grand-scale and little more small town. No matter where you live in Sacramento, folks know there is a Mayberry-like celebration on our street that conjures up that hometown feeling we all crave. Parades, front lawn concerts, pancake breakfasts, games and brilliant fireworks shows are put together by our neighbors and friends who are ready to vibrantly display the red, white and blue.
All of it plays out in our front yard from 10 am until the last firework is set. We love to alert our pals of our summer plans by kicking the holiday off in style. This year, we leaned on Paperless Post to get the word out with this darling invitation.
No doubt the event will be star-spangled with plenty of hot dogs, American flags and hometown pride. We hope your celebration is equally as celebratory as we ring in America’s 242th Independence Day!
