It’s one thing to admire the allure of the California wine country, but quite another to explore it. Because of that, Kerrie Kelly Design Lab has hit the road to crack open the secrets and surprises of the captivating lifestyle behind some of California’s most stunning wine-centric design masterpieces.
The first stop on this insider tour began at the distinguished Chalk Hill Estate in Healdsburg. The visit included colorful details of the estate’s Chef Ryan’s cooking expertise. Beginning in the lush estate’s herb and vegetable garden, our team cooked up an amazing meal against the breathtaking background of the vineyard, paired the meal with the perfect wine, and let the wine and design conversation flow, uncovering all the insider details to the pavilion overlooking the equestrian center.
The first course was Kabocha Squash and Miso Soup paired with Pinot Gris—fresh, Fall-like and comforting.
Next stop was fresh Maitake and Chevre Quiche paired with Chardonnay—we voted it best quiche we have ever eaten!
The main event highlighted Roasted Pork Tenderloin with Syrah and an interview with the culinary team.
Cheers to the Chalk Hill property, team and rich history of both wine and design! We look forward to sharing further details with our readers soon.
