This month’s 3rd Annual NKBA Women to Women (W2W) Conference in San Antonio was truly inspiring, and I’m grateful to have been part of such an empowering event. This year’s conference offered more than just the opportunity to reconnect with industry peers—it created a space to foster personal and professional growth for all who attended. The atmosphere was vibrant, filled with shared stories, practical advice, and uplifting moments that will continue to resonate long after the event.
From the onset, the W2W Conference focused on empowering women in the kitchen and bath industry. Sessions covered everything from leadership development and effective communication strategies to navigating change and building resilience in a fast-paced environment. These topics were especially timely given the ever-evolving nature of our industry. Hearing keynote speaker, Laura Kohler, share her journey reminded me of how vital it is to continue pushing boundaries while maintaining our authenticity. One of the most valuable takeaways was learning how to blend influence with mentorship, inspiring the next generation of female leaders while “finding our light”.
Networking was another highlight. The W2W Conference is unique because it encourages connection on a deeper, more meaningful level. Playing pickleball, sharing meals, and engaging in one-on-one conversations allowed for genuine connections that will undoubtedly extend beyond the professional sphere. I met so many extraordinary women who shared their wisdom, stories, and enthusiasm for the future of design.
The conference also spotlighted confidence-building activities, which were both energizing and fun. From celebrating our achievements to planning future collaborations, the positive energy was contagious. It’s clear that when women come together to support each other, the possibilities are limitless.
I’m leaving the W2W Conference feeling inspired and more equipped to navigate the challenges ahead. It’s events like this that remind me why our industry is so special—we have the opportunity to uplift one another and pave the way for future leaders.
