Over the past 23 years, Kerrie has been very active with the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) where she served in various local and national leadership positions including California Central/Nevada President and National Chair of the Design for Aging Council. She is recognized as one of ASID’s prestigious Fellows, a Thought Leader and was named the recipient of ASID’s Nancy Vincent McClelland Award for Interior Design Education presented in June 2012 at NeoCon in Chicago. She was also the 2012 and 2016 winner for Residential New Construction, Kitchen and Bath for the California Central/ Nevada Chapter. Kerrie currently serves as a National Board Member and Foundation Trustee to ASID.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
Kerrie was selected a winner of the exterior color palette pairing in the California Paints 2011 Designer Color Challenge. Kerrie’s winning color combination was featured in an online galleries, on color cards and in stores across the United States.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
A longtime partnership with Delta, Kerrie has been featured via television and social media outlets to launch products such as faucets and DIY shower door installations.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
Kerrie continues to be a contributor for Dwell.com, providing design tips and behind-the-scenes interviews with icons such as Eames Demetrios and Michael Graves. She has also participated on design panel presentations at Dwell on Design in Los Angeles.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
Kerrie and her design team continually partner with Ferguson for all plumbing and appliance needs. Her award-winning Brizo by Jason Wu bathroom design is featured in the Sacramento showroom and her lighting collection is proudly featured in the Northern California location. Kerrie and Good Day Sacramento have built a great on-air and in-person relationship over the past few years that continues to be regarded as a go-to source for design inspiration for the Sacramento community. As the national interior design spokesperson, Kerrie was named to the Zillow Digs Board of Designers in 2013 to help identify trends locally and nationally. A longtime partner and Trendspotter for Cosentino, Kerrie has toured the Siletone and Dekton factories in Spain multiple times to assist with new product development. A Certified Aging in Place Specialist, Kerrie continues to work with Eskaton and Livable Design to ensure that designs are functional and comfortable for anyone, regardless of age or ability. She is also a member of Livable Design by Eskaton’s Advisory Panel and has assisted with local projects in Northern California. Kerrie works closely with the Livable Design team to create expert content for blogs and social media outlets to promote the livable design concept.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
Selected as one of five Subject Matter Experts (SME) nationwide, Kerrie creates content for Home Depot products that can be celebrated via social media and other outlets to expose customers to their products and resources.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
Kerrie has appeared on several TV shows in Northern California and as the featured designer for the DIY and HGTV Network’s “House Crasher’s,” “Bath Crashers” and “Room Crashers” shows. With a total of seven episodes under her belt, she is well versed in a fast paced, well planned, television-ready design. Local Sacramento television channel KVIE and Kerrie teamed up to host their annual KVIE Art Auction fundraiser in 2013-2016 where Kerrie served as an Art Expert for the event. As a member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association, Kerrie was a trendspotter at their KBIS show in 2014. She recently launched her Coyote Outdoor Living furniture collection at KBIS in 2018 and presented outdoor living tips with the Kitchen Cousins. In 2012 Pearson Education released MyInteriorDesignKit and its companion text, authored by Kerrie Kelly, as an experiment in interactive learning. Rather than giving static facts and endless pages of text, users are introduced to the core topics of interior design through the real experiences of successful industry professionals. Learners are engaged and challenged by taking them on virtual field trips to many locations where the business of design happens. Videos are used to simulate decision making activities and encourage learners to think like designers. Our go-to paint adorns our own Design Lab in Essential Gray, Folkstone and Gutsy Grape, which we also used as inspiration for our winning Dwell on Design Pinterest Pavilion board. As one of four designers nationwide, Kerrie Kelly Design Lab partnered with Sherwin-Williams to unveil ColorMix 2014 palettes for their Diaphanous board, a soft and neutral mix of sophistication and style.
