Last week Kerrie Kelly Design Lab packed up our cars and headed to one of our favorite design shows of the year! At the annual Dwell on Design show at the Los Angeles Convention Center, international manufacturers come together with national companies and local designers to showcase their latest offerings. Here is a selection of what was on display at the 2014 show that was held June 20 to 22.
Stikwood is a peel and stick real wood décor—and it’s from Sacramento, too! It is extremely easy to use and will transform a room in minutes. Stikwood is designed to be a very cost effective way to dramatically improve a space through texture and tone.
The Sunbrella booth, where the company’s Icon collection fabrics are on display, were in full spectrum color. The collection updates vintage colors and patterns from the Sunbrella’s 1960s and ’70s lines.
Urbanization and population growth are driving the need for smaller living spaces. GE Monogram visitors learned how living in small spaces doesn’t equate to a reduction in functionality, living standards or personal style. GE’s concepts for a small-space kitchen solution were on hand for an up-close demonstration, including a 24″w cooking station, a 24″w refrigeration/freezer portion and a 24″w sink and dishwashing combination to help recycle and save water usage .
Dacor brought brains and beauty to the kitchen with 10 new color options for its award-winning Discovery® iQ 48” Dual-Fuel Range and Discovery® iQ 30” Wall Oven. The new colors include Crimson, Envy, Black Tie, Tangerine, Cordon Bleu, Citron, Smoke, Sangria, Arctic and Radiant Orchid – the 2014 Pantone Color of the Year. We bet you can guess which color was our KKDL favorite!

Committed to redefine and expand the perception of what is possible, our Santa Barbara design pals focused on explorative design and architecture that improves quality and makes a positive, lasting impact.
The Sherwin-Williams colormix 2015 collection tells optimistic color stories that reflect a brightened outlook and adventurous spirit for the year ahead. The colormix palettes provide fresh color combinations to inspire creativity for our client spaces. The colors are grouped into four palettes: Chrysalis, Voyage, Buoyant and Unrestrained.
We are always ready for an update from our Cosentino pals! Our favorite Silestone and Dekton products were on full display and the booth was buzzing with all that is new in the solid surface world. Sirocco? Lyra? Ariane? Which is your favorite?
Jimmie Martin, an established luxury brand based in London since 2004, presented a unique collaboration with California based luxury builder Charco Design & Build, Inc. By customizing old antique frames as well as reproduction frames the duo change the finish of the furniture frames, upholstery and finalizing each piece with a hand painted signed artwork. This makes each piece different from the next.
