Education is woven into the Kerrie Kelly Design Lab DNA. Whether it’s our designers learning the ins and outs of a client’s lifestyle to create the perfect room scene for their needs, or its our marketing team learning to use new software, everyone at KKDL knows that education is extremely important to success. Having a background in design education and a passion for mentorship, the only logical next step was to offer monetary help to students wanting to get into a creative field.
This past year 42nd Street joined KKDL’s 6-year run as a scholarship provider for Construction Management by offering another scholarship award for Cal Poly’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. This scholarship is given to two students each year that go above and beyond their studies by implementing creativity and entrepreneurial skills into their college career. We are so excited to be a part of this experience because the CIE (Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship) is deeply important to creating new designers and innovators and helping them to flourish in competitive industries.
As the program so eloquently puts it: “The Cal Poly Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship offers cutting-edge programs and events that stimulate the Learn by Doing spirit at Cal Poly.” Stay tuned as we will be interviewing the two students who won this year’s All-American Scholarship Award in Construction Management about what their plans are for their college careers and beyond!
