Cozy and inviting, the guest cottage located just 15 minutes from the Liana Estates in Napa Valley is the perfect reflection of California’s famous wine country. This year’s Traditional Home Napa Showhouse featured esteemed designers Marie Flanigan, Kimberly Harrison, Robin Heard, Elle Cole, Cathy Davin, Kim Scodro, LMK Interiors, Jean Liu, Casey Howard, Melanie Coddington, Tish Mills, Alexa Hampton, Pulp Designs, Bob Brown, and Lauren Tapper. With each designer creating a unique style within each room, we were excited to have been selected to design the cottage’s main living space– a master bedroom, closet, and bathroom.
The inspiration for our space is drawn from our team’s roots in sophisticated and masculine design concepts including a warm color palette, metallic accents, and vintage accessories. With a focus on celebrating our industry partners and friends, our California design team transformed the cottage’s master bedroom space into a Winemaker’s En Suite Salon, complete with plush seating and an old-world elegance.
Upon entering the space, guests are greeted by an inviting Pratt + Lambert color palette, Designer White on the trim and Pebble on the ceiling, complemented by warm chocolate accents– a perfect introduction to autumn in Napa. Illuminated by Circa Lighting overhead, the salon sparkles and shines, showing off its menswear-inspired textures and patterns in all corners of the space. West Crescent crown moulding adorns the trim of the salon while textured Phillip Jeffries wallpaper envelopes the walls for added interest.
Accessorized from floor to ceiling in GO Home and Sonoma Country Antiques goods, the Winemaker’s Salon tells the story of its Napa home, complete with bright orange Hermes scarves and equestrian-inspired art by Trowbridge Gallery Artwork provided by Silver Trident Winery outfitting its four walls.
Anchored by Wesley Hall furnishings, like a velvet-covered tete-a-tete and tufted leather chair, and 42nd Street Design’s Robert Bar Cabinet and Vincent Jr. Secretary, the salon is both fashion-forward and highly functional.
Peering around the corner, a beautiful closet crafted by The Container Store offers stylish storage solutions via flawless matte black shelving, metal shoe racks, and plenty of storage for the winemaker’s fashion selections.
Stepping into the bathroom just off of the Winemaker’s Salon, a modern-meets-art-deco vibe is instantly felt. Circa Lighting’s antique brass sconces illuminate the clean and cool bathroom space, while Crossville Tile creates a unique monochromatic pattern across the floor. Additional shimmer and shine is injected via DXV’s sophisticated plumbing and faucetry.
Offering guests a place to sit, sip, and stay awhile, the guest cottage’s main living space couldn’t be more warm and approachable.
