Let me just get this out of the way … word to your mother. But seriously, I had so much fun hanging out with Rob Van Winkle, aka, Vanilla Ice. Rob is now the host of “The Vanilla Ice Project,” a reality series on the DIY Network following him and his team flipping one house at a time.
We were asked to join Lumber Liquidators in Elk Grove, California, for their 400th store opening party! With the opening of this new store, the third in the Sacramento area, Lumber Liquidators brings its low-cost, no-middleman flooring approach to Elk Grove homeowners and professionals alike.
Lumber Liquidators is North America’s largest specialty retailer of hardwood flooring. The company features hundreds of varieties of floors in the latest styles, including solid and engineered hardwood, bamboo, cork, laminate, waterproof vinyl plank, and wood-look tile. Additionally, Lumber Liquidators provides a wide selection of flooring enhancements and accessories to complement, install, and maintain your new floor. Every location is staffed with flooring experts who can provide advice, pro services, and installation options for all of Lumber Liquidators’ products, much of which is in stock and ready for delivery.
The new Elk Grove store includes a warehouse and a showroom that offers an extensive assortment of the latest flooring styles, as well as moldings, accessories, and tools to help do-it-yourselfers and professionals save even more. A variety of floors are also installed in the store’s showroom so customers can walk on different flooring styles and species. I was on hand during the party to offer advice and provide tips about all of the flooring options. We had a blast and the grand opening was so successful.
