A day at the Design Lab is never void of the unexpected. We’re always on our toes, and we’re so lucky we have fantastic vendors that are there for us at a moment’s notice. Our latest superhero vendor is The Container Store, whose newest location here in Sacramento is a 23,000 square foot haven of pure organizational bliss. We were in the midst of wrapping up a project with our clients, parents-to-be, when baby decided to make his entrance early. When our clients welcomed their bundle of joy, The Container Store came to the rescue and within a few hours we had a beautifully organized nursery closet. It’s safe to say they made our client’s little one feel especially welcome in his new nursery.
It all started a few weeks ago when we finalized details of our client’s nursery. A few days away from their due date, we scheduled a time with The Container Store for an elfa Closet System installation. Little did we know that the nursery’s main resident was ready to see his space a bit earlier than expected. A frantic call from our clients at the hospital launched us into panic mode. But the baby wasn’t supposed to be here for a week! Where will he put all of his adorable onesies and infant-sized shoes? In the midst of our frenzy we decided to give The Container Store a call and see what could be done. After a breezy phone call and quicker-than-lightning installation, we texted our clients (now new parents) letting them know that their bouncing baby boy would come home to a beautiful space, completed with The Container Store’s sleek + clean elfa closet system.
We are so head over heels for the baby’s nursery, with its rustic accent wall and cozy reading nook. In just a little over an hour, layouts were set, drawers were picked, and we were on our way to getting a closet ready for an exciting new arrival.
