If you are a kitchen and bath professional, the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) undoubtedly promises to be an unforgettable event year after year. This year, January 9-11th, several of our favorite brands joined more than 600 exhibitors in the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, and many returning companies have found innovative ways to show their new products.
This year the “Backyard” returned this year as an outdoor area next to South Hall featuring a selection of outdoor product brands, as well as indoor kitchen appliance brands that want to showcase full product capabilities with live fire and cooking demonstrations. We were lucky enough to be a big part of that with our partners at Coyote Outdoor Living, ClifRock, Shade Tree Canopy and HGTV’s Kitchen Cousins. Together we hosted three presentations and a grilling demonstration with our friends, Demonte and Kenesha Coleman from Pa’Boys Restaurant and Grill in South Carolina. These presentations also celebrated the soft launch of our outdoor furniture line with Coyote Outdoor Living!
KBIS also hosted the 2,500-sq.-ft. Impact of Design Pavilion Powered by ASID, the first pavilion by the American Society of Interior Designers on its show floor. It focused on the ways in which design impacts lives, and brands exhibiting within the pavilion showcased products and services centered on health, wellness, and sustainability within the design industry. A 400-sq.-ft. space within the pavilion hosted a series of content sessions that explore how design impacts lives. Nick May and I perched ourselves in the pavilion to talk interior design for his Chaise Lounge Podcast.
As I love to do at every design show, I walked the show floor spotting trends, products, and reuniting with my Silestone Trendspotting friends from Cosentino. We took a whirlwind trip to EPCOT with the celebrated group! Check out what we found here:
