Early this month we embarked upon a delightful escapade through the picturesque landscapes of Cobram Estate’s Olive Oil Grove and Facility. As the sun bathed the groves, we found ourselves immersed in an unforgettable experience, culminating in a sensational Harvest Dinner orchestrated by the talented Chef Allyson Harvie, all set against the backdrop of charming Woodland region of Northern California.
Sunlight on the Olive Groves:
Our adventure began in the early afternoon with the promise of an exciting day of exploration ahead. The first sight of the olive groves shared a breathtaking mosaic of greens and golds and the air carried the earthy scent of olives. As we ventured through the groves, guided by the expertise of Cobram Estate’s knowledgeable staff, we’re introduced to the world of olive cultivation. The tour is peppered with fascinating insights into the careful cultivation practices that give birth to the exquisite olive oils we love. The sight of mature olive trees and their gnarled trunks is truly awe-inspiring.

Next, we found ourselves stepping into the newly built, state-of-the-art processing facility. The seamless blend of tradition and innovation was palpable, as age-old techniques harmoniously intertwined with modern technology. The rhythmic hum of machinery was a testament to the dedication Cobram Estate holds towards producing the highest quality olive oils.
The Elixir of Life:
No visit this olive oil haven would be complete without an olive oil tasting session. With a diverse range of flavors and aromas awaiting us, the tasting was nothing short of a sensory adventure. From robust and peppery notes to milder, buttery ones, each drop of olive oil unveils a story of its own.
Nature's Bounty: Bring the Outdoors In
As the day gracefully transformed into evening, we gathered around a California-casual set table, surrounded by friends. The anticipation for the much-awaited Harvest Dinner grew throughout our day. And then, the pièce de résistance arrived—Chef Allyson Harvie, our local culinary maestro, took the cooking “stage”. With Hestan Culinary cookware as her trusty companions, Chef Allyson dazzled us with her humble yet Michelin-star worthy artistry.

The air was filled with tantalizing aromas as Chef wove her magic with local produce and the freshly harvested olive oil. The essence of the groves, the facility, and the passion behind Cobram Estate’s mission were seamlessly stitched into each dish.
As the evening unfolded, partners and friends reveled in the camaraderie of shared experiences.
