One of our favorite reasons to talk about Sacramento is the food scene. From fresh farm-to-fork fruits and veggies all year-round to the different flavors and cultures represented, we’re a little spoiled here in Northern California. To kickoff the end-of-summer and hello-to-fall season, we visited one of our go-to ‘fancy’ spots: The Kitchen. Ranked among the finest of dining establishments in California, The Kitchen was one of the first eateries to introduce the ‘farm-to-fork’ concept to Sacramento almost 30 years ago. Because its delicious dishes and commitment to quality, each night that The Kitchen has been open it has been sold out!
Luckily, we were able to squeeze in a mid-week dinner with some of our nearest and dearest to catch up over good eats and fab drinks. With nearly nine delectable courses (called ‘Acts’ by the chef), we were treated to local goods and delicious cuisine. Our favorite? The chilled green coastal curry with market melons, scallops, and rock shrimp, bathed in a ginger citrus vinaigrette with trinity herbs. We can’t wait to make it back here to continue celebrating one of our favorite stops in Sacramento!
